Mayte Hernandez Arrieta, RDH, RDA, AS.
A Dental Hygienist has multiple functions in society: educator, researcher, clinician, dental sales and more. My greatest passion is being an educator, informing individuals of oral hygiene care and it's maintenance process. She has been both an educator and clinician, and strives to help her patients and students understand the goals of the hygiene profession and provide the most adequate care. She aims to help her patients--who include; children, adults and families--to find healthy perceptions of dentistry and build on their knowledge of care with the most up-to-date techniques and products in order to link the understanding between the oral cavity and the entire body with any systemic health concerns.
Understanding that no single approach is "right" for every individual, therefore an evaluation of each individual's personality, cultural background and adaptability is reviewed to ensure the dental education that is provided it to benefit the patients oral health.
Mayte's educational background includes a BA in Humanities at the University of California, at Irvine, AS in Dental Hygiene at Moreno Valley College: Riverside City College District. Certified in Lasers from LVI in Las Vegas, Nevada. Continue Education and certification in advance instrumentation at USC School of Dentistry.
Mayte's work experience is abundant from working health fairs locally to working in private and school settings such as UCLA and Moreno Valley College-Dental Hygiene Program as both full-time and part-time faculty and finally marketing and community outreach to educate our members of our community the importance of dental hygiene including children in our local schools. Finally while maintaining my license as a Dental Hygienist, she too holds a license as a Registered Dental Assistant which does not limit my duties in a dental office and gives her the flexibility to enjoy all areas of the dental world.
Mayte married her high school sweetheart and they have two children. Mayte’s greatest passion is spending time with her family, she also loves to travel to places like Alaska and the Caribbean and loves to bake for her friends and family. One of her most recent new hobbies is enjoying some athletic time with her children as well as trying to be fit and health she loves Zumba and Turbo-Kick Boxing, on her down time.
