Dental Bridges

The loss of one or more teeth can lead to a decreased self-confidence, difficulties eating and speaking, and poor nutrition. The Dental Bridge is used to help correct this–the bridge is a prosthesis that attaches and is supported by the surrounding remaining teeth (thus forming and getting it’s name of a dental “bridge”). The surrounding teeth are capped so they can provide the needed support. So, when a tooth is missing, the surrounding teeth on either side are prepared and then the bridge is placed. The more teeth that are missing means more teeth may need the abutment or capped to create a larger, more stable bridge.

3D model of the patients teeth is taken in the beginning to help create the permanent bridge, and a temporary bridge may be placed while the permanent bridge is being created. To learn more about the process and benefits of a Dental Bridge, contact our office to schedule your consultation today.
