What sets Invisalign apart from traditional orthodontic treatments

In the past, traditional orthodontics using metal brackets and wires were the only way to align the smile. This method required patients to spend months, sometimes years, with an orthodontist specialist to improve their smile. With the continued advances in orthodontic treatments, patients can enhance their smile without metal and instead utilize transparent aligner trays to achieve the same results.

How do clear aligner trays work?

At Huntington Dental Excellence, we offer clear aligner therapy with the use of Invisalign orthodontics. Invisalign has been around for many years and continues to be the most desirable choice when it comes to teeth straightening. They are the leading aligners for teeth straightening and continue to be requested by name! With clear aligner therapy, patients obtain a series of trays that take them from start to finish. Each tray is worn one at a time for two weeks before progressing onward with the next. By the time the patient reaches the final aligner, their new smile has arrived!

What do I need to know about Invisalign aligner trays?

Most patients with mild to moderate malocclusion or bite alignment issues may be considered for Invisalign clear aligner therapy. During an evaluation with the dentists at Huntington Dental Excellence, we can examine a patient’s smile and talk to them about using Invisalign aligner therapy. Patients are educated on how long to wear the trays, keep them clean, and when to remove and replace them. Patients must wear their trays as directed to get the results they want in the timeframe stated. Noncompliance may result in additional charges to create a new trays series to get patients back on track.
